Curacao Carnival 2017: it's time to dive AND party!

If you love to dive and you love to party,

Come, join the tens of thousands of road-side spectators enjoying an impressive, energetic and amazing array of multi-colored floats and costumes, dancing to the beat of Tumba, Curacao's official Carnival music,at Curacao's biggest party of the year.

Curaçao's Carnival is one of the largest and longest-lasting Carnival spectacles in the Caribbean, and one of the best times to visit the island and experience the passion and amazing rhythm of the Curacao people.

This grand tradition features fantastic parades, floats, costumes and characters, plus Carnival royalty elected during full-scale beauty contests, as well as impromptu street parties and dancin' (Jump Ins / Ups) that may run into you, unexpectedly.

So dig out your dancin' shoes and be ready to join in -

because it's Curacao Carnival time!
(And we've got your diving covered, too...)

Carnival infoSome Curacao Carnival celebrations happen on planned dates.

Due to the sheer size of the Parades themselves, as well as the sheer number of spectators and cars, major access roads in Otrabanda (where the cruise ship terminal is, and access to the Hilton and Floris Suites hotels) and the Julianna Bridge (the one linking traffic from either side of Willemstad) - are closed or have limited access.

And unless you're chartering your own private helicopter (oooh, interesting idea...) you'll have one helluva time getting through the crowds and roadblocks to reach us (and us, you).

Other Curacao Carnival celebrations happen on entirely impromptu dates, also closing off random roads unexpectedly, which is all part of the Carnival fun!

So if you're planning on diving with The Dive Bus on the 2017 Curacao Carnival Schedule dates below, join in the celebrations and part-ey once your diving's done for the day-and expect the unexpected at any time, and for things to change all the time. (Keep an eye on The Dive Bus facebook page for updates and changes.)
